Who we are

Rhino Levelling is a floor preparation business in Melbourne, run by a sole trader. ABN 48 731 889 122.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form, we collect your name, your email address and your message about the job.

• If you choose to fill them in, we also collect your phone number, your suburb and area, what's down now and what's going on top, what you can see on the floor, whether you're a flooring shop, installer, builder or renovator, or homeowner, a business name, when you're ready, whether you'd like old material taken away or floorboards laid, and how you heard about us.
• When you email, call or text us, we get whatever you send us, such as photos of the floor, and your email address or phone number.
• When you send the form, your IP address and some browser information are used for the spam checks described below.
• When you visit the site, our hosting provider handles technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you ask for, so it can deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to quote, to do the job and to keep in touch with you about it. If the spam checks pass, we also send you one email to say we've received your enquiry.

We don't send marketing emails or texts, and we don't sell or share your details for anyone's marketing.

Getting in touch without giving your name

You can ask us a general question without giving your full name. To quote or do a job, we need a name and a way to reach you.

Decisions made by computer programs

Two automatic checks protect the enquiry form from spam. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending the form, using your IP address and information from your browser. Upstash counts how many enquiries come from one connection, so it can stop more than a few an hour. It stores a scrambled version of your IP address and email address, never the addresses themselves, and the counts expire within a day.

If a check stops your enquiry, the form tells you and gives you our email address and phone number instead. No other decisions about you are made by computer programs.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. The spam check on the form loads a script from Cloudflare in your browser. One display setting is remembered in your browser's local storage if you turn it on; it holds no personal information.

Who helps us handle it

These providers handle your information for us:

• Resend sends the enquiry to us, and the confirmation email to you.
• Google receives and stores our email, through Gmail.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Cloudflare runs the spam check on the form.
• Upstash keeps the scrambled counts that limit how often the form can be sent.

If other tradespeople help on your job, we give them the details they need to do it, such as the address. We don't share your details with anyone else for their own use.

Overseas

Resend, Google, Vercel, Cloudflare and Upstash are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there.

How we look after it

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are kept in our email account and on our phones, and we take reasonable steps to protect them.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry and our messages about it until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email rhinolevelling@gmail.com or call 0459 586 766 to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. We may need to check that it's you first. We reply within 30 days.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email rhinolevelling@gmail.com with the details. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

Children

This site is for people arranging floor work. It isn't aimed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
